2020 WINE TASTING CLASS SCHEDULE
February 20th: CA Reds originally from the Rhône
Our next wine class will feature California red wines produced from grapes traditionally associated with the Rhône Valley of France. We’ll learn about the history of these wines in California, which dates back to the middle of hte 19th century, and taste multiple examples of California’s finest — including aged examples from the instructor’s cellar — as well as their French counterparts. A comprehensive syllabus will be handed out, as well as a sheet for your tasting notes. All glassware, wines, and an array of cheeses will be provided.
March 26th: CA Whites of French and German origin
There is more to white wine than Chardonnay, more to Germany than just Riesling.
This class will focus on California white wines produced from grapes that are commonly associated with France and Germany…but not Chardonnay. (That is a separate class, to be held on June 18th.) We will be exploring this different grapes, from Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon to Vermentio and Viognier, and more. A comprehensive syllabus will be handed out, as well as a sheet for your tasting notes. All glassware, wines, and an array of meats and cheeses will be provided.

August 20th: Sparkling Wines
September 17th: CA Whites of Iberian & Italian origin
October 22nd: CA Reds from Bordeaux Varieties
November 19th: Zinfandel
December 17th: Sparkling Wines
All classes are limited to 24 people unless otherwise noted. Classes are held on the third Thursday of each month and run from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. Fees: $45 per class ($35 for Equinox/Bartolo Wine Club Members). Reserve your space either through Eventbrite or in our Tasting Room.
